
Seized by authorities, Coco suffered the worst atrocities — probably at the hands of expatriates who used him as a pet before abandoning him. Beaten, terrified and with a broken leg, he arrived at the Yapo-Abbé camp in shock. After extensive rehabilitation work, Coco no longer goes out into the bush. He continues his rehabilitation at the rescue centre, surrounded by his caregivers.
