Our Partners
Protecting nature is everyone's business. Thank you to our partners and supporters for their essential help in carrying out our mission.
Our non-profit partner in France
Akatia International is a French non-profit created in 2018 to provide financial and logistical support for Akatia's work in Côte d'Ivoire. Since its creation in 2017, Akatia has been committed to primate protection and the conservation of Ivorian forests.
Fighting trafficking and poaching is complex teamwork, where environmental, economic and social issues collide. To provide a comprehensive, effective and pragmatic response, we work closely with several Ivorian and international institutions.
Our partners

Ministry of Water and Forests — Côte d'Ivoire
In a historic agreement, the Ministry of Water and Forests granted two classified forests to Akatia and collaborates closely for wildlife protection.

Special Surveillance and Intervention Brigade (BSSI)
BSSI rangers patrol daily in our forests to defend biodiversity and fight poaching.

SODEFOR — Forest Development Corporation
Ivorian public body responsible for managing classified forests, SODEFOR is a key partner in our forest protection actions.

U.S. Department of State
Financial and logistical support for fighting illegal wildlife trafficking in Côte d'Ivoire.

UNESCO
Support for our biodiversity preservation and awareness actions within the framework of sustainable development goals.
Eagle Network
Organization specializing in fighting wildlife trafficking, Eagle Network collaborates with our teams during seizure operations.
C.R.O.W
American NGO specializing in ranger training, which trained our rangers in surveillance and protection techniques in high-risk areas.

Donations with a direct impact on life at camp
We also benefit from the invaluable support of individual donors whose contributions, sometimes very significant, have a direct impact on our work. These donations tangibly improve living conditions at camp and animal welfare. In 2025, for example, generous support from the artist Keane through several major donations helped complete the enclosure for our adolescent chimpanzees. Such donations can grow from the connection between a donor and a field volunteer. Keane's support is directly linked to his friend Jérémie's presence at camp. Jérémie's regular updates and first-hand account convinced him to put music at the service of conservation by donating royalties to Akatia.
EticWood and ENI alongside Akatia
Since 2026, Akatia has taken part in a project to conserve and rehabilitate 14 classified forests in Côte d'Ivoire, implemented by EticWood for ENI.
